Handwriting and Fine Motor Skills

Fine motor skills involve all of the small muscles of the body: more specifically those that control precise movements of the hands, wrists, feet, toes, lips, and tongue. The small muscles of the hands and fingers are the most important for the development of handwriting skills. Our Therapists will work with your child to strengthen thenar/hand muscles, promote grasp strength and/or provide adaptive equipment to improve the quality and/or legibility of written work.
